The Washington Commanders need to sign WR Stefon Diggs before they strike out once again

General manager Adam Peters could be one move away from making the Commanders serious contenders this season, but he will need to act fast.

The Washington Commanders drastically improved their team from a coaching and roster standpoint, but there’s still one more clear move to make, especially with a brutal 2026 schedule.

Jayden Daniels needs to hit the ground running and remind everyone what he can do, and adding WR Stefon Diggs to his supporting cast would absolutely help. The biggest question, however, is whether it would actually happen.

The Stefon Diggs sweepstakes is heating up, and time could be running out for the Commanders to make a move to land the veteran WR.

NFL insider Albert Breer recently did a mailbag, which included a question about Stefon Diggs, and he mentioned the Commanders as a team that makes sense. They weren’t the only team, however, and Diggs could be off the market soon.

I asked around about Stefon Diggs myself, and added the new information to what I was told back on May 8th by another source.
